ian-mccallWe’ve interviewed Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall before and he’s a pretty colorful guy. McCall stands to become the #1 flyweight contender if he can get past Joseph Benavides at UFC 156 this weekend. But in an unexpected twist, he’s got a beef with someone else on the event, and it’s not Benavides. It’s Rashad Evans, who will square off against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. He even called Rashad a dick.

He relayed a story to MMA Mania about his run-in with Rashad a few years ago. The story goes, he and his nephew were walking around the lobby before a WEC event in San Diego. His nephew asked Rashad for a picture. Instead of a typical arm-around-the-shoulder photo, Rashad stood awkwardly, “two or three feet apart from everybody.” McCall called him “a dick,” and his nephew, who was a child at the time supposed.ly said, “wow, that guy’s an asshole.”

McCall doesn’t mind speaking his mind and he certainly doesn’t seem to shy away from picking on bigger guys. VigilanteMMA was one of the first to grab an interview with McCall following his inclusion in the inaugural UFC flyweight tournament. In that conversation with us, he took a couple subtle jabs at two other champions—Georges St-Pierre and Dominick Cruz.

“Nobody fears Georges St-Pierre,” he told us. “He’s really good at what he does, but they don’t fear him. Kind of like Dominick Cruz; nobody fears the guy.” I can’t help but like this guy for his willingness to give his opinion. Check our full interview here.
