Ouch! Dana White says Cyborg “wants nothing to do with Ronda Rousey”

Cris-CyborgAnd now the gloves come off. But it’s UFC president Dana White throwing haymakers this time—and they are directed right at Cris “Cyborg” Santos on UFC Tonight. Everyone wants to see Cyborg fight Ronda Rousey. Everyone including White. So to kick start things, he decided to question her manhood (in hindsight, that was a poor choice of words, but I think you know what I mean). He essentially said Cyborg is afraid of Rousey.

“I’ve been in the fight game since I was 19 years old and I’ve been doing this for 15 years,” he explained. “and what I get out of this deal with Cyborg is that she wants nothing to do with Ronda Rousey. She does not want to fight Ronda Rousey.”

Pretty harsh. If you wanna go way back, you can probably remember a similar instance in “sports” when controversial champion Apollo Creed called then-retired contender Rocky Balboa the Italian Chicken. White just did the same.

It’s a basic maneuver, but most times it’s very effective. My guess is that White’s strong words will set a fire under Cyborg, who will shockingly decide to cut to 135, “despite her health risks.” Keep in mind those health risks are so severe that Mike Dolce says he can get her to 135 in 48 hours. Stay tuned, but I think this technique by the boss will get things moving in the Rousey vs. Santos department.
