‘Round 5’ Action Figures still the best Collectible in MMA

JDSr5Every now and again, we write an article on the latest ‘Round 5’ action figure set to come out. More than anything, we want to remind you that Round 5 puts out the most collectible, most affordable, and most conversation worthy product in the MMA world. Of course, that’s an opinion—my opinion.

With their 12th official collector series available this month, Round 5 has again topped itself with a combination of what I call Tier 1 and Tier 2 stars of today and tomorrow. As always, the realism and detail of the figures borders on scary. If you don’t believe me, take a look at the expression on the face of Series 12’s Nate Diaz figure. Or the trademark scar/beard on Jose Aldo.

In terms of display value, there is no better product on the market than Round 5. Standing less than 6 inches tall, these figures are perfect for setting atop your desk at work or even on your mantle before the big fight. I’m not trying to sell you on Round 5, but you should seriously check Series 12 out.

NateR5The full lineup includes the aforementioned Diaz and Aldo pieces as well as BJ Penn, Junior Dos Santos (complete with championship belt and scowl), Brian Stann and Chan Sung Jung. Some of my favorite pieces are the limited edition pieces such as the Stann WEC version which are made at a much lower production rate to satisfy the hard core collectors out there.

In addition to the standard retail lineup just mentioned, Round 5 loves to toss out a full array of very limited subsets. To give you a little taste of some of those in series 12, just think Wanderlei Silva, Jon Fitch, Alexander Gustafsson and Frank Mir to name a few.

As always, I’m giving major kudos to Round 5 for making a high quality, low cost (about 12 bucks) collectible that can appeal to literally every fan out there.
