Brock Lesnar says he sometimes thinks “I can get back in the octagon”

BROCK LESNAR 058For most of his abbreviated Brock Lesnar was at the same time, UFC’s most popular AND most hated fighter. That odd, seemingly oxymoronic statement equates to a guy everyone wanted to see fight. Lesnar, now back in the WWE, still has thoughts of returning to the UFC sometimes; but those thoughts are quickly tempered.

He seems to second guess things about his MMA career—as he puts it, “coulda, shoulda, woulda,”—mostly regarding his return from diverticulitis. He now feels that return was far too hasty and hints that during his final fight with Alistair Overeem, he wasn’t all the way back.

“I do miss it, but I’ve got to keep myself in check. What I went through the last few years was quite traumatic, not being able to fight like I wanted. I got back on the horse way too soon. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. That chapter in my life has come to closure, and I’m comfortable with it. I’ve never really sat and pondered about what I could’ve done differently or how things could’ve been, but I wasn’t the same guy. Now I feel great; there’s days I think I can get back into the Octagon and be the same human being I was before. But I’m on another chapter.”

So while his return to the UFC isn’t likely, you can still catch Lesnar in the WWE where he is currently working a feud with CM Punk.
