SOnnenVIG1Chael Sonnen is calling the big victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua Saturday night the biggest of his career. As for his next fight, he has some crazy ideas. How about three guys in one night?

At the post fight press conference, Sonnen—while very humble discussing his win over Shogun—was not so complimentary of a trio of fighters who have been linked to Sonnen. If he has his way, the Gangster would take care of Vitor Belfort, Wanderlei Silva and Lyoto Machida in one fell swoop. Here’s how Sonnen described it.

“I would beat up Vitor on the way to the ring to kick Wanderlei’s ass. And I’ll take care of that third guy who’s name I’ve already forgotten (Lyoto Machida) in the parking lot on the way to my afterparty.”

He elaborated on the Wanderlei Silva rumors that have been circulating for a long time now, despite the fact that they’ve never officially been booked. He blamed Silva for that. “Wanderlei Silva drives me insane. Wanderlei Silva tells the media that he wants to fight me. I would love to fight Wanderlei.”

“Wanderlei insists that fight has never been offered,” Sonnen continued. “That has been a big marquee fight for years. This company puts on big marquee fights. To believe that he has not been offered that fight is ridiculous, and it pisses me off.”

Sonnen continues to be the most successful personality in the entire sport when it comes to juggling athlete with entertainer. Over the weekend, he showed us the best of both aspects of his persona.
