JoshBarnettEstherLinAOL_crop_exactYesterday a great matchup was announced for UFC 168. Surging heavyweights Travis Browne and Josh Barnett will square off in the big year end event. Although it hasn’t been announced as such, this fight could certainly help determine the next challenger for title.

Barnett is coming off a big win over former champ Frank Mir last month. He easily defeated Mir, ended the bout with a 1st round TKO. It was Barnett’s first fight back inside the UFC cage since he defeated Randy Couture for the UFC belt in 2002.

Likewise Browne is coming off a very impressive 1st round knockout of his own. Hapa rallied from a vicious attack by Alistair Overeem to start the fight, but when it appeared Reem gassed, Browne started firing headkicks. After landing a few, Overeem toppled and Browne got the win.

UFC 168 is already stacking up nicely. It will be headlined by two title fight rematches—Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva and Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate.
