Spice-GirlsRemember when Dana said women would never fight in the UFC?  After the recent success of female fighters, the promotion put all their chips in and officially announced an additional weight division for women in the UFC.

Put down the toilet seat, the invasion of the UFC by female fighters will continue.  Dana White told the press yesterday that TUF 20 will be an all female cast that will compete for the new women’s straw-weight division championship.

The UFC acquired 11 female fighters from Invicta FC, including current straw-weight champion Carla Esparza.  In addition to Esparza, other top talents included in the deal are Felice Herrig, Emily Kagan, Rose Namajunas, Tecia Torres, Paige VanZant, Claudia Gadelha, Juliana Lima, Alex Chambers, Bec Hyatt, and Joanne Calderwood.  They will all get a bit of a break since they are sidelined until they begin filming TUF in early May of 2014.

For all those guys out there that piss and moan about women in the octagon, keep those tears flowing because it looks like you might have to get your own beer from the kitchen from now on.  After this largest showing of Girl Power since the Spice Girls hit the scene, your lady might be sparring at the local dojo so she can ground and pound a “knockout game” player like this chick did.
