Nate Diaz negotiates contracts via Twitter — like all savvy businessmen

nate-diaz-double-birdIf you’ve ever wanted to discuss a work-related issue with your boss, then you already know that Twitter is the best place to do it. Obviously Nate Diaz is a wise business man, so he’s well aware of that too. That’s why Diaz asked for his release via Twitter message yesterday. Yes, you heard that right.

Could this be a simpleton’s way of trying to cash in on the good fortunes his buddy Gilbert Melendez just received from the company? Probably. Will it work? Of course not. Testing the free agent waters isn’t typically an option for a guy ALREADY UNDER CONTRACT. And I can’t think of a company who would grant a release to a guy for the sole purpose of testing his free agent value.

But Nate Diaz doesn’t think like everyone else. He’s the type of guy who would offer me his 5th round draft pick for the #1 overall pick in my fantasy football draft. No one would ever accept that trade, but he can’t for the life of him understand why you won’t go for it.

With big brother Nick’s recent demands of an immediate title shot despite having zero wins since 2011, and Matt Riddle’s crazy talk, I’m afraid VigilanteMMA is in danger of becoming MMA’s source for weed related stories and crazy behavior.
