R.I.P. Ultimate Warrior — here’s one of our “favorite” promos

ultimate_warrior_2Just days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Ultimate Warrior collapsed and died yesterday. Although this is non-MMA related, I had to take the opportunity to honor a wrestling legend by posting one of his countless insane promos. He rarely made sense. In fact, “rarely” might even be generous.

Among the techniques he consistently used was turning his back to the camera. And my favorite public speaking method incorporated by Warrior–substituting relevant content for speaking VERY LOUDLY…and then very softly. I also like how he changes the pronunciation of certain words–like “Hoke Hogan.” And in case you aren’t happy with this temporary hiatus from the world of MMA, a quick search of our site shows that this isn’t the first time we’ve referenced the bizarre former champion. Here’s one his many baffling tirades. Rest in peace, Warrior.
